CM's gesture to poet

Chennai, May 24 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today sanctioned an assistance of Rs 50,000 to Poet Suradha for his medical treatment.

An official release here today said Mr Karunanidhi sanctioned the assistance considering the present health condition of the poet, who called on Mr Karunanidi yesterday and greeted him on his becoming the Chief Minister.
