Brown sugar worth Rs 3.25 crore seized

Thiruvananthapuram, May 24 (UNI) The Narcotics Bureau here today seized 'brown sugar' worth Rs 3.25 crore in the international market and arrested two persons in this connection.

The two persons were arrested at the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway station and 3.25 kg of contraband was seized from them. The two were on their way to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu from Mumbai.

Sources said the arrest was made on a tip-off and further interrogation was on.

The two would be produced before the court tomorrow.
