Bar wants Haryana DGP suspended
Chandigarh, May 24 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association has called for immediate action against the Haryana police chief Kanwar Nirmal Singh by initiating an inquiry against him in context of the alleged misbehaviour with advocate Madan Dev on May 18 at the Police Headquarters in Panchkula.
The association in a unanimous resolution has called upon the state governor and the chief minister to take immediate action against DGP Kanwar Nirmal Singh by holding an inquiry into the incident and to suspend him forthwith pending inquiry, lest the bar would be forced to take further steps.
The resolution passed at an emergent meeting of the general house of the association comes in the wake of reports about the incident involving advocate, which has left the entire legal fraternity agitated.
