Anti-reservation 'maharally' in MP

Jabalpur, May 24 (UNI) A 'maharally' will be held in this cantonment town tomorrow in support of the countrywide junior doctors' strikes, boycott and demonstrations in protest against the Centre's decision to enforce OBC reservation in higher education institutions.

Even private hospitals' OPD, nursing homes and clinics would not treat any patients except in case of emergencies.

The Indian Medical Association's local unit Chairman Kusum Solanki and Secretary Dileep Tiwari told journalists here that the 'maharally' would be taken to the collectorate from IMA office in Wright Town area.

''Physicians employed at government hospitals and health centres have applied for mass leave and will work with black badges if the leave is not sanctioned,'' said Dr Tiwari.

The 'maharally' is expected to witness participation by the District Bar Association.
