Anju slips two places to 6th in world rankings

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) Struggling to find form since the beginning of this season, ace Indian long jumper Anju Bobby George slipped two places to number sixth in the latest IAAF rankings.

Anju, who had a disappointing sixth place finish at the Commonwealth Games, was clinging on to fourth for the last two months.

But, her lowly seventh finish at the Doha Super Grand Prix earlier this month, her pulling out of Bangkok-leg of Asian Grand Prix due to injury and failure to clinch gold before the home crowd at Bangalore in the second leg on Monday have pushed her down two rungs.

Tatyana Kotova of Russia is way ahead of the rest with 1355 points, followed by compatriot Oksana Udmurtova, Tianna Madison (USA), Bronwyn Thompson (Australia) and Grace Upshaw (USA) ahead of Anju, according to information received here today.
