AIEEE results declared

New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) As many as 67,018 candidates cleared the All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admission to bachelor of engineering, architecture and planning courses in dozens of institutes across the country, results announced today by the Central Board of Secondary Examination showed.

A total of 59,337 of the total 4,90,193 candidates who took the B.E./B.Tech. exam and 12,090 of the total 73,047 candidates who took the B.Arch/B.Planning test were being called for counselling, a CBSE official said. Many candidates had cleared the test for both B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning courses.

The results were available on websites www.cbse.nic.in and www.ajeee.nic.in.

A total of 5,23,811 candidates had taken the test at 912 centres in 87 cities of the country and one centre in Dubai on April 30.

The exams were held for admission to 18 National Institutes of Technology, 3 Indian Institutes of Information Technology and Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, 6 self-financed deemed Universities and 4 other Central Government-funded institutions.

The states of Haryana, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal, besides the Army Institute of Technology, Pune, Maharashtra, Tezpur University, Napaam, Assam and Assam University, will use AIEEE ranks to fill seats through their own counselling, the website informed.
