Adhiraj Sarin is new MD of Bunge India
Mumbai, May 24: Mr Adhiraj Sarin has taken over as Managing Director of the USD 25-billion agri-commodities powerhouse, Bunge India.
Mr Sarin's previous stint was with Tube Investments of India (TII), a precision engineering company of the Murugappa group in Chennai, where, during his three-year tenure as managing director, he took the turnover of the company from Rs 900 crore to Rs 1,600 crore and its PBT from Rs 45 crore to Rs 120 crore, a release issued here today said.
Prior to this assignment, Mr Sarin worked for 25 years in HLL where he started his career as a management trainee in 1974, after his B Tech from IIT, Kanpur.
His last assignment in HLL was as managing director of Hind Lever Chemicals, the fertiliser and speciality chemicals subsidiary of HLL. He was instrumental in the rapid growth of the fertiliser business and the turnaround of hybrid seeds business of HLL, which was later sold to Syngenta and then Monsanto, the release added.
