Youth dies trying to save boy from drowning

Adilabad, May 23 (UNI) A 26-year-old youth died after he jumped into a well to rescue a 15-year-old boy who fell into it near Krantinagar in this district today.

Shahed (15) accidentally fell into an open well while playing. To save him, Shaik Mohammed (26) jumped into the well, police said.

On seeing what was happening, two others, Saleem and Shaik Saleem also jumped into the well. They brought Shahed out but could not bring Mohammed out cleanly. He fell back into into the well midway and suffered serious injuries. He died in hospital while undergoing treatment.
