Two more ULFA activists arrested from Bengal

Siliguri, May 23 : Two ULFA activists, including a woman were arrested from different parts of this town of Darjeeling district in the past 24 hours, police today said.

With their arrests so far eight people including ULFA's Commander-in-chief Plabon Phukan alias Mrinal Hazarika have been taken into custody.

Dipak Tamang (30) was arrested from Panitanki, about 36 kms north of here bordering Nepal last night. Police also caught Sumana Sonar (28) from Bagdogra today, 16 kms from here, for her alleged link with proscribed United Liberation of Asom.

Meanwhile, all police stations have been alerted following series of arrest of ULFA activists in the Siliguri sub division since May 17.
