Two fail in bid to rob businessman

Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) Two persons tried to rob a businessman emerging from a bank near Begum Bazar police station here today.

The businessman took Rs 2.50 lakh from a bank in the area and came out. At that time two motorcycle-borne youths tried to snatch the bag in which the money was kept, after threatening him with knives.

Clutching the bag, the businessman screamed for help, even as the youths attacked him, according to police.

By then the bank security and passers-by arrived at the spot, and on seeing them, the two fled the scene. The injured businessman was admitted to a corporate hospital in Nampally, police added.
