Student on hunger strike hospitalised

Surat, May 23 (UNI) A student who had participated in the indefinite hunger strike organised by students of various medical colleges here, was admitted to the New Civil Hospital.

President of the Intern Medical Student Association, in Government Medical College, Rajiv Kharware said the student, Jzarna Shah was admitted to the hospital after she complained of chest pain this evening.

Meanwhile, the agitating students formed a group of 'black cats'.

They submitted memorandums to the government offices and organised face-to-face interaction at various points in the city, as part of their protest against the proposed OBC quota.
