Seven religious structures demolished

Mumbai, May 23 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today demolished seven religious structures in Ghatkopar on the eastern suburbs of the metropolis.

BMC spokesperson Dadasahev Shivjatak said here that seven unauthorised religious structures in Parsee Wadi, Bhattwadi, L B S Marg, and Nari Seva Sadan Road areas were demolished.

Meanwhile, in drive to implement the plastics ban, the civic body recovered 275 kg of plastics after conducting raids at several places in the city today. Mr Shivjatak said action was taken against 426 people in this connection and Rs 75,940 collected as fine.
