Ramsarup Industries net profit up 103 per cent

Kolkata, May 23 (UNI) Steel wire producer Ramsarup Industries Ltd today reported 103 per cent jump in net profit for the year ended March 31, 2006 at Rs 27.80 crore as compared to Rs 13.68 crore in the previous year.

The net sales during the same period was at Rs 1018.03 crore, up by 16.01 per cent when compared with Rs 877.55 for FY05.

The company has declared a final dividend of 10 per cent. With interim divident of 10 per cent, the total dividend for FY06 works out to 20 per cent.

The company is expecting order for erection of transmission lines of Rs 40 crore in a fortnight's time. The company is expecting orders worth Rs 200 crore from transmission line erection business during the current year.

While focussing on increased wire capacity, company would give thrust to transmission line business in line with consolidating its position in power sector to increase profitability.
