Protest against BJP government of Rajasthan
New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) A voluntary organisation protesting the destruction of heritage hills by the mining mafia in the Braj belt of Rajasthan began mobilising public opinion at temples here today against the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP Government of the state, saying it was doing nothing to protect the Lord Krishna religious circuit.
During a 'Yatra' from the Yog Maya Mandir to Andheria Mod in Mehrauli, the Braj Rakshak Dal distributed pamphlets against what they claimed was a ''pseudo Hindu'' government in the state.
Members of the organisation, on dharna at Jantar Mantar since April 22, will start their 'yatra' from a new temple in the capital every day, the Braj Rakshak Dal said in a statement. The yatra will culminate in a public meeting at a temple in the locality in the evening.
The organisation says the BJP government is being a silent spectator to the destruction of heritage hills in the Deeg and Kaman tehsils of Bharatpur district.
