Munde urges party workers to galvanise support
Mumbai, May 23 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde today urged the BJP workers to come and work for the betterment of the party even in the absence of late Pramod Mahajan.
''The vacuum left by the death of Mahajan would never be filled.
But we should all make efforts to strengthen the party,'' said Mr Munde, who is also the brother-in-law of late Mr Mahajan.
Speaking at the first meeting of party workers since the demise of Pramod Mahajan, Mr Munde criticised both the State and the Central government in the backdrop of seizure of huge arms haul near Aurangabad, farmer suicides, power crises and other issues.
Regarding the BJP membership drive, Mr Munde said, ''BJP is the only party to initiate membership drive, even before the EC guidelines came into force.'' He also urged the party workers to increase the number of members.
