McDonald's to launch monster burger during World Cup

London, May 23: Not to be left behind in cashing in on the soccer fever ahead of next month's World Cup, fast food giant McDonald's will launch a monster burger during the mega event in Germany.

''The emphasis has changed. We are a burger business. Our traditional menu -- hamburger, cheeseburger, Big Mac and chicken sandwich -- is front and centre of our plans,'' McDonald President Steve Easterbook was quoted by ''Daily Mirror'' as saying.

Mr Easterbook said the burger will be 40 per cent bigger then the Big Mac.

''Everybody loves a burger and there is nothing wrong with that.

It's time to be proud, to say 'We're a good burger company','' Mr Easterbook said.
