Kiranjit to lead girls' team

Jalandhar, May 23 (UNI) International Kiranjit Kaur of Ludhiana, will lead Punjab girls' team in 57th National Junior Basketball Championship to be held in Ludhiana from May 27 to June 3.

Punjab Basketball Association Joint secretary PS Nijjer told reporters here that Ludhaina and Jalandhar with four players each got maximum representation in the team followed by Gurdaspur(2) and Muktsar and Amritsar (one each).

The team--Kiranjit Kaur (Captain), Harminder, Manda, Sarbjit, (Ludhiana), Surbhi,Rubal(Gurdaspur) Sarbjeet, Raman, Bikaran, Priya (Jalandhar), Harneet(Muktsar) and Harpreet(Amritsar).

Simi(Gurdaspur) and Nagma(Ludhiana) are inducted as stand bye.

Kanwarjit Singh will be the coach of the team.
