Kerala Pro term speaker takes oath

Thiruvananthapuram, May 23 (UNI) Former Kerala Minister V J Thankappan who was appointed as pro term speaker took the oath of office as an MLA at the Raj Bhawan today.

Governor R L Bhatia administered the oath of office to Mr Thankappan, who represents Neyyattinkara constituency in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The other MLAs would take oath of office tomorrow at the Assembly.

The speaker of the 12th Assembly would be elected on Thursday and the special session would last for two days.
