Pondy: JD(S) urges Centre to implement Quota
Pondicherry, May 23: Pondicherry unit of the Janata Dal (Secular) has urged the Centre not to retract it's proposal of 27 per cent reservation to OBCs in institutions of higher education.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the party office bearers here yesterday, the party's state unit president E Ganesan said at a press conference here.
Another resolution urged Chief Minister N Rangasamy to provide 10 kg free rice and colour television sets to the 2.97 lakh ration card holders.
