Intel has no plans to start chip plant in India
Bangalore, May 23: Intel Corporation President Paul S Otellini today firmly said it had no immediate plans to set up a chip plant in the country.
Addressing newspersons on the first lap of his two-day visit to the country, he, however, said discussions were on with the Government for setting up an Assembly test-mark-pac unit in India.
He had ''no announcement to be made'' in his regard during his current visit, he added.
He said the Chip Design Centre of Intel here gave more value-add than setting up yet another factory.
