Govt to set up check posts on Indo-Nepal border
New Delhi, May 23: The Government proposes to set up four integrated Check-Posts (ICPs) having regulatory agencies and support facilities in one complex at Jogbani (Bihar), Raxaul (Bihar), Sunauli (Uttar Pradesh) and Nepalganj Rd/Rupaidiha (Uttar Pradesh).
These ICPs, when set up, would help in interdiction of anti-national elements while facilitating legitimate trade and commerce. The Government has also approved increase in the strength of Sashastra Seema Bal, which is deployed as a Border Guarding Force on the India-Nepal Border, Minister of State for Home S.
Regupathy said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
