Father with two kids drown as boat capsizes

Vadodara, May 23 (UNI) A 35-year-old man and his two minor children were drowned when their country boat capsized in Mahi river at Gulabpura under Savli taluka in the district today.

Police said Chandrasinh Parmar was returning to Gulabpura from Khodwad along with his family after attending a marriage ceremony, when the mishap occurred.

The boat reportedly met with the accident when Chandrasinh's seven-year-old son Ranmalsinh fell off while playing with his sister Bhukima (10).

While his wife and two other cousins swam to safety, the bodies of Chandrasinh and his two children were extricated by the local people after few hours of search and have been sent to the Savli civil hospital for post mortem.
