Cong sabotages Telengana statehood: BJP

Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, May 23 (UNI) The BJP today charged the Congress with sabotaging the formation of the Telengana state.

Talking to newspersons here, party national secretary and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya alleged that the Congress and the Telengana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) were cheating the people of Telangana.

Dimissing the reports of the TRS ministers resigning from the Centre, he said it was only a drama played by the TRS leaders in view of the ensuing Panchayat elections''.

He urged the TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao to persue the Prime Minister for the cause.

Mr Dattatreya alleged that the Chief Minister Y S Rajshekhara Reddy was sabotaging the Telengana movement just like former Chief Minister the late K Brahmananda Reddy. He also questioned the negligence of the government in implementing the Girglani report.
