Brahmins accuse Arjun Singh for quota mess

Jaipur, May 23 (UNI) The Rajasthan Brahman Mahasabha today accused Union Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh for the reservation turmoil.

At a press conference here today, its president, who is also a Congress legislator, Bhanvar Lal Sharma said Mr Singh wants to portray himself as a "messiah" for the backward classes.

''Mr Singh has upset and embarassed the entire Cabinet,'' he added.

Mr Shrma said around 20 lakh Brahmins will converge in Delhi on November 12 to protest against the proposed 27 per cent reservation for the OBCs in institutions of higher education.
