BJP MLA assaults SEB engineer

Narsinghpur, MP, May 23 (UNI) BJP MLA Jalam Singh Patel assaulted State Electricity Board Assistant Engineer J K Soni at the latter's office at Barman yesterday.

In his complaint to the police, the Engineer said the MLA was infuriated as he failed to reach Mr Patel's house immediately on call.

Former Sarpanch Rajiv Thakur and another Vijay Jat were with Mr Patel, when he bolted the office room and assaulted the engineer.

Police registered cases against Mr Patel and two others.

Mr Patel is brother of Uma Bharti loyalist former Union Minister Prahlad Patel.
