Bengal medicos to meet CM

Kolkata, May 23 (UNI) Medicos in West Bengal will urge Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee not to implement the new quota system in higher educational institutions as the relay hunger strike in protest against the increase in OBC reservation continued for the seventh day today.

The junior doctors will meet the Chief Minister at the Writers Building tomorrow to lodge their protest against the Centre's decision and request him to take a stand against it, a spokesman of Youth for Equality, the platform spearheading the agitation said.

The medicos also decided to take out a procession to voice their protest against the centres proposed reservation policy.
