Bank Manager caught taking bribe

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) The CBI has arrested a UCO Bank Manager from Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant for processing his loan and credit card.

Ghanshyam Singh was heading Taharpur branch in Bhabhisa, a statement said.

In another case CBI Special Judge Ranchi convicted Sub Divisional Inspector with the Department of posts Anil Kumar Gupta for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 from the complainant for showing official favour.

The accused was sentenced to three years rigorious imprisonment and a fine of Rs 22,000.
