Ban on workers who leave jobs without informing sponsors

Dubai, May 23 (UNI) As a warning to expatriate workers in the UAE, who leave jobs without informing sponsors, the Labour Ministry has started imposing a permanent ban on them in order to deny them entry into the country for ever.

The name of absconders would remain in the permanent ban list of the Department of Naturalisation and Residency, press reports said.

An official source also said workers, whose sponsors falsely report them as absconding, will be exempted from the ban.

It added that such a stringent procedure would curb the growing number of absconding workforce.
