Avasarala hands over Fuelling Machine Head to NPCIL
Bangalore, May 23 (UNI) Avasarala Technologies Limited Chairman A Mangaapathi Rao today handed over the first Fuelling Machine Head (FMH) to Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited Chairman S K Jain.
FMH, with various critical equipment and assembly, would be installed at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project's fifth and sixth units.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jain said the success of the plant depended on the smooth functioning of the equipment. He also lauded the efforts of Avasarala in delivering the FMH within the stipulated as it saved money.
Company Managing Director and CEO T M Mani, in his address, said FMH operated in a high radiation zone within the Nuclear Power Generation Reactor and was used for loading fresh fuel into the reactor and discharge spent fuel to the fuel transfer system, without any human presence.
