Alcatel appoints Chaume as MCG Sales Director

New Delhi, May 23: Alcatel, communications solutions provider, today appointed Mr Pierre Chaume as its Sales Director for Mobile Communications Group (MCG) for South Asia.

Mr Chaume will be responsible for sales, pre-sales and tendering, and network design to mobile address mobile operators of the South Asia region.

Mr Chaume has held important positions in Alcatel as Mobile Customer Account Team Director for Central American, Andeans and Southern American countries and Deputy Sales Support Director for Western Europe Business Region.

Earlier, he served Thales Communications, Gennevilliers (France).

Alcatel provides communications solutions to telecommunication carriers, Internet service providers and enterprises for delivery of voice, data and video applications to their customers or employees.

With sales of 13.1 billion euros and 58,000 employees in 2005, Alcatel operates in more than 130 countries.
