Talks and disciplinary action cannot go together: BJP
New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) Taking note of the disciplinary action initiated by the Government against the striking doctors by asking them to vacate their hostels, the BJP today said repressive measures and discussions cannot go hand in hand.
Welcoming the government's move to hold discussions on the quota issue, BJP Parliamentary Party Spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said the government has served termination notices on striking medicos and asked them to vacate their hostel rooms. If the Government is interested in holding talks, than it should not use such dirty tactics. The youth needed to be reassured that their future would not be jeopardised because of the reservations, he said.
