Star Cement launches mobile concrete testing lab

Guwahati, May 22(UNI) The Cement Manufacturing Company Limited(CMCL), with its brand 'Star Cement,' today launched a mobile concrete testing laboratory here.

Speaking at the occasion, marketing head of the company Sreekumar Menon said, ''Mobile Concrete Testing Van will assist our customers to check concrete strength at site. The laboratory on wheels is first of its kind in this part of the country.'' He said from the inception of Star cement, the company has extended services to the customers by building up a team of Civil Engineers called 'technical service' cell, where experienced engineers assist the customers to build a better home.

Mr J N Khataniar said Guwahati city along with the North Eastern region is one of the world's high seismic prone zone. There fore quality of construction, materials and the workmanship are very important factors from the safety of the people.

Assistant Professor of Jorhat Engineering College Dr Jayanta Pathak was also present at the ocassion.
