RS MP seeks 'decent' arrangements for Railways exam seekers

New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) BJP member in the Rajya Sabha L K Chaturvedi today asked the Railways to make adequate arrangements for candidates appearing for its recruitment examinations from the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab.

Raising the issue during zero hour, Mr Chaturvedi took the Railways to task for not making adequate travel arrangements for candidates attending the examinations.

They were made to travel on roofs of the trains even though it concerned the Railways, and no special trains were run, he alleged, adding that at many places there was lathicharge by the Railway Protection Force and the regular ticket holders were put to a great deal of inconvenience.

These candidates must be provided decent travel arrangements instead of being herded like animals, he said.
