Coimbatore, May 22 (UNI) Puthiya Tamizhagam (PT) Founder-President K Krishnaswamy today said the Centre should not go back from its move to provide 27 per cent reservation to OBCs in higher educational institutions.
Talking to newsmen here, Dr Krishnaswamy said the government should not buckle under pressure on the issue in the wake of protests from a section of the students.
It appeared the government was diluting its stand, he said adding if necessary, his party will resort to agitation in support of the policy.
He blamed the AIADMK for putting obstacles in its path and not allowing it to perform well in the Assembly elections.
