Naval Chief to present President's gallantry awards on May 24

Visakhapatnam, May 22 (UNI) Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Arun Prakash will be presenting the President's gallantry and distinguished service awards to Naval personnel at a grand ceremonial parade here on May 24.

According to a release, 42 Naval personnel would receive the Nao Sena Medals for gallantry and devotion to duty, Vishist Seva Medals, the V K Jain Memorial Gold Medal and Jeevan Rakshak Medals.

In addition, citations for four ships and establishments would also be presented, in recognition of their contribution to operational effectiveness.

The city would host the Naval Investiture Ceremony after a gap of three years at the Eastern Naval Command here.

Admiral Arun Prakash, the chief guest at the ceremony, would be arriving here on May 23 for a two-day visit, the release said.
