IIM-B not to increase admissions for 2006-07
Bangalore, May 22: The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), has ruled out enhancing the student strength beyond the planned intake for the next academic year.
IIM-B Director Prakash G Apte told UNI that the Institute had already approved to increase the strength to 300 from the current level of 260. ''It's a planned increase...beyond this it will be difficult.'' He said though physical infrastructure was not a problem, the Institute was facing shortage in faculty strength. Hence it was not going to be easy to enhance the strength further.
