Bail to Sadhu Yadav in flood relief scam

Patna, May 22 (UNI) Patna High Court today granted bail to RJD MP Sadhu Yadav, brother-in-Law of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, in connection with the flood relief scam.

Mr Justice Chandramauli Prasad gave the bail to Mr Yadav on two personal sureties of Rs 50,000 each. The court directed Mr Yadav to surrender in the lower court and complete the formalities of the bail within two weeks.

While granting the bail, the court observed that the evidences produced by the Vigilance Bureau investigating into the scam did not prove involvement of the leader in the scam.

Earlier, the court had directed the Bureau to produce material evidences showing complicity of the MP in the scam.

At that time, the Judge had observed that the evidences produced by the bureau were insufficient to establish indulgence of Mr Yadav in the scam.

It may be recalled that the chargesheet filed by the bureau in the scam case mentioned the name of Sadhu Yadav, however, his name did not figure in the FIR of the related scam.
