Anti-socials blackmailing women held

Machilipatnam, May 22 (UNI) Mandavalli village police today busted a gang that indulged in blackmailing women by videographing them secretly and then extorting money.

Krishna District Police Chief Marigeshan Kumar Singh said they seized sophiscated cellular phones and computer peripherals used by three criminals for shooting pictures and converting them to electronic data.

He said police received a complaint from one K Venkata Satya Vara Prasad of Mandavalli on May 17 that some youths were shooting videographs of women secretly to extort money.

He said the culprits K Rambabu (21), M Munna Alias Vijay (21) and E Ramachandra Rao (21), who were booked under Section 354 of the IT Act 2000, were remanded in judicial custody.
