Uttaranchal BJP to hold dharna against Massacre
Dehradun, May 21 : The Uttaranchal unit of the BJP would hold a dharna at Doda on June 9 to express their dissent towards the massacre of people that took place recently.
The decision was taken in a meeting held here on Saturday at the party office presided over by the state chief Bhagat Singh Koshyari and National General Secretary (Organisation) Mr Sanjay Joshi as the chief guest.
According to the party spokesperson Dr Devendra Bhasin, before organising the dharna at Doda various protest programmes would be organised in every district of Uttaranchal from May 21 to 28.
Besides it was also decided in the meeting to hold 'ghera dalo - dera dalo' programme in the state to protest against the ruling Congress government's 'anti public policies'from June 26 to 30.
''Further farmers under the BJP banner would hold rallies at Dehradun, Hardwar and Uddhamsingh Nagar against import of 30,000 tonnes of wheat by the Central government. Mr Joshi told all the party workers to gear themselves up by all means to meet the forthcoming assembly election in the state.
