Radico hits JVs in UK, Africa; plans to expand

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Liquor manufacturers Radico Khaitan Ltd, has entered into joint ventures in UK and Africa to join the over seas production lines.

''The JVs will help us to roll out our brands in UK and African markets. The production on these lines is slated to begin later this month,'' Radico Khaitan Managing Director Abhisek Khaitan said.

The company will handle sales, marketing and distribution functions, while manufacturing will be done by the local partners, he added.

Stating that two units would be operational by this month, he said, the company's outlook is to expand to three-four units by the end of this fiscal.

Radico has also plans to market its rum and vodka brands like Contessa Rum and Magic Moments Vodka in the UK.

The brand registration formalities have been completed on the selected brands between Radico and its UK AND African counterparts, a company statement said.
