Homage to Rajiv Gandhi on 15th death anniv
Panaji, May 21: Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane led the state in paying homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi whose 15th death anniversary was observed as ''Anti-Terrorism Day'' today with people taking a pledge to fight against violence.
Mr Rane, accompanied by his Cabinet and party colleagues, paid floral tributes to the slain leader at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Medical College Complex at Bambolim.
The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, led by its president Ravi Naik, paid homage to the late prime minister at the Congress Bhavan in the city and recalled his contributions.
Several meetings and symposia were organised in this connection which highlighted the dangers of terrorism and violence.
