Dacoits loot Baranasi-Ranchi Express

Daltonganj, May 21 : Several passengers were injured and valuables worth Rs one lakh looted when dacoits ransacked the general boggey of 8612 down Baranasi-Ranchi Intercity Express near Java River in Jharkhand's Daltonganj late last night.

According to railway sources, about nine people entered the general boggey of the train at Barhwadi station and began terrorising passengers immediately after it left for Chipaduha.

The dacoits attacked the people with weapons injuring several passengers, Dhanbad rail division sources said. The victims lodged a complaint in this regard.
