Leopard killed after being hit by speeding vehicle

Junagadh, Gujarat, May 20 (UNI) A three-year-old female leopard was killed after being hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle near Vanthali village in this district.

Forest department officials said the carcass of the leopard was found yesterday.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the leopard may have died after being hit by the vehicle a day before on the night of Thursday.

The post-mortem was conducted at Sakarbaug Zoo here today according to which the leopard had died after suffering internal brain haemorrhage, Zoo superintendent R D Katara said.
