Junior doctors take out 'Maharally'
Bhopal, May 20 (UNI) The agitating junior doctors from Madhya Pradesh took out a 'Maha rally' here today to oppose the proposed reservation for OBCs in higher education institutions.
The junior doctors, who held demonstrations at Polytechnic square and Roshanpura Naka in the state capital, submitted a memorandum to the Governor.
Junior Doctors Association Secretary Piyush Vyas said due to the rally, parallel OPD could not be run by the junior doctors in the Hamidia Hospital here.
He claimed chemists, medical representatives, private hospitals, traders and engineering students supported their strike, which crippled health services in hospitals attached to five medical colleges in the state.
Meanwhile, the agitating doctors started relay hunger strike at Jabalpur. A group of five doctors will stage relay fast daily.
