'ISI, missionaries finished only Hindu Rashtra'
Kanpur, May 20 : Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today alleged that Christian missionaries and ISI in connivance with communist forces had ''finished'' the only 'Hindu Rashtra' in the world by weakening the royalty in Nepal.
Talking to UNI here, VHP national treasurer Ram Nath Mahendra said several countries including Great Britain were doing well under the rule of King and Queens, ''so why not Nepal.'' ''As these forces did not like Nepal to remain a Hindu Rashtra, they are working with the communist forces in the Himalayan state to dislodge King Gyanendra, who was committed to retaining the status of a Hindu Rashtra in his country.'' Mr Mahendra is also the VHP Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal units president.
He claimed while ISI was encouraging terrorist activities in India, the missionaries were silently strengthening their bases in the backward areas of the North East.
''Encouraged with their activities in hilly areas, they played their game in the Himalayan kingdom and succeeded in dislodging King Gyanendra, he said.'' The VHP leader cautioned the Indian government as ''disruptive forces are bent upon dividing the country. '' UNI
