Functioning of Govt and aided colleges criticised
Guntur, May 20 (UNI) Multiple view points on government educational institutions and its functioning were expressed by the speakers in the seminar on'Education and Government Policies' conducted by Journalists Association of Andhra Pradesh (JAAP) at the Tobacco Board Conference Hall here yesterday.
Criticising the government and government aided colleges for poor performance, M Seshagiri Rao, Guntur District Congress Committee President and Chairman of Bapatla Education Society said the government institutions work for only 120 days in a year while the private educational institutions work 300 days.
Prof D A R Subrahmanyam, Member, Nagarjuna University executive council and retired princpal of TJPS College alleged that the controlling authority of higher education in Andhra Pradesh was highly corrupt.
