Five dead in a road accident in Dharwad district

Hubli, May 20 (UNI) Five people were killed and another was seriously injured when a car collided with a lorry near Kalghatgi in Dharwad district about 30 kms from here last night.

Police said four persons died on the spot while another died on way to hospital. All the killed were travelling in the ill fated car. The injured was admitted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences here.

The car was on its way to Hubli from Bombay.

The deceased were identified as Avinash Pola (68), Sundrabai Pola (60), Supriya Kadam (15), Shanthanu Kadam (12) and Sulochana Ghodke.
