Bomb targets Shi'ite workers in Baghdad- Police

Baghdad, May 20: A bomb at a bus station in a Shi'ite neighbourhood of east Baghdad today caused many casualties among labourers gathering for work, police sources said.

One source put the initial, unconfirmed toll at nine dead and 28 wounded in the blast in the poor Sadr City district. It came as Iraq's parliament prepared for a confirmation vote on a new, Shi'ite-led government of national unity.
