AEPC to set up two more apparel training centres

New Delhi, May 20: The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) will soon be setting up two more Apparel Training and Design Centres (ATDC) in the country.

According to an official release issued here today, both these training centres would be set up in Uttar Pradesh, one at Kanpur and the other at Tronica city in Ghaziabad district near Delhi.

Presently 13 such ATDC are functioning in various parts of the country including Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Tirupur in Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, Mumbai and Indore.

These training centres are equipped with all the latest modern facilities such as sewing and cutting labs, library, well equipped classroom, and competent and trained faculty.

The students trained from these centres are readily employed by the garment manufacturing companies. The latest feedback reveals that over 17,000 students passed out from these ATDC and got jobs in the garment industry.
