Abbas loyalist targeted in Gaza-security sources

JERUSALEM, May 20 (Reuters) A top Palestinian security official loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas was wounded in an attempt to assassinate him as he took an elevator to his office today Palestinian security officials said.

General Intelligence chief Tareq abu Rajab was among several people wounded in the explosion at his headquarters in the Gaza Strip. One of his bodyguards died in the blast, security sources said.
